Classroom Policy

Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Mighty Moose Learning Centre, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all our students. Please review the following classroom policies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Pick-Up

  • Please ensure that your child is picked up within 5 minutes after class ends.
  • A $10 will be charged for every 10-minute block or part thereof for late pick-ups to maintain safety.
  • If a student need to be picked up by a non-guardian person, we require prior notiication and may request their ID.

Health

Mighty Moose Learning Centre asks that parents keep their children at home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of a cold, flu or COVID-19, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and difficulty swallowing, coughing or sneezing, or other symptoms as described by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the BC Ministry of Health and BC Centre for Disease Control, or is required to self-isolate. A student that attends an class with these symptoms will not be permitted in the facility.

Late Arrival

If a student arrives late, the class will still start/end at the scheduled time. No refunds or credits will be granted.

Food

As a learning centre, Mighty Moose does not provide food. We understand young chidren need nutrition during the day and accept food and drink, within reason, to be consumed at designated area. Parents are responsible for packing snacks for their children. Foods that may disturb others around are not acceptable (hot meals, messy, smelly, loud, or known to cause severe allergic reactions). For the safety of all students, especially those with allergies, food sharing is strictly prohibited.

Photo/Video Consent

By enrolling your child in our program, you grant consent for photos and videos to be taken of your child during classroom activities. These photos/videos may be used for:

  • Educational Purposes: Recognizing and encouraging student achievement.
  • Communication Purposes: Inclusion in newsletters, brochures, or reports.
  • Promotional Purposes: Use in newspapers, television, on our website, and social media.

If you have any concerns or wish to revoke this consent, please contact us directly.

Waiver: Mighty Moose Learning Centre assumes no responsibility or liability for any health, safety, privacy, or other concerns that may arise in connection with participation in our program, including but not limited to the situations and policies outlined above.
